Play & Exploration
Welcome to our website, and to The Dales School.
We are a 2 – 19 school in Morton-on-Swale, near Northallerton, for children and young people with severe, and profound and multiple learning disabilities. Our sixth form also offers provision for young people with moderate learning difficulties, most of whom join us from Mowbray School in Bedale.
Our provision is rooted in a person centred holistic approach, ensuring that our students and pupils feel safe, supported and able to progress towards the next stage of their lives with staff who know them well, who champion their rights and celebrate all of their achievements in whatever form they may take. Our students and pupils are the key stakeholders in their futures and as such their voice is at the heart of all that we do. Visitors to the school comment upon the positive atmosphere and the quality of relationships between pupils and staff, which are vital to the very best outcomes for all of our children and young people.
I do hope that you enjoy reading about the school and all that we offer, and I would be more than happy to welcome you to the school for a visit. We are a most welcoming community and we look forward to seeing you.
